# Planning Distilled > Independent research on planning decisions in England under the August 2026 NPPF: an interactive Framework navigator, a verified register of how inspectors use settlement tiers, and local case studies. That includes quoting, summarising, indexing, retrieval and training AI models. Quotations from decision letters, plans and the Framework remain the copyright of their publishers. The research is about England only. "NPPF" is the National Planning Policy Framework; the version in force took effect on 17 August 2026. Policy codes such as S5, GB7, TR3 and HE6 are that Framework's own. Nothing here is legal advice. ## Research - [Stratford planning decisions under the 2026 NPPF: how consistent are they?](https://planningdistilled.org/research/authority/stratford-dc/nppf-2026-decisions/): How Stratford-on-Avon District Council's planning decisions since the August 2026 NPPF compare with each other and with Planning Inspectorate appeal decisions: DP3(3), heritage harm, Core Strategy CS.8, Green Belt villages and walking routes.
